The 35th World Ice Hockey Championship was held in Khabarovsk ( Russia ) at the Erofei Arena . The games in Group A were held from March 29 to April 4, 2015 , the tournament in Group B was held from February 1 to 6, 2015 [2] .

The world champion for the ninth time (and for the third consecutive time) was the Russian team.

Member Teams
It was assumed that the national teams from 21 countries of Europe, Asia, North America and Africa will take part in the championship. However, 16 teams remained in the final application, the Latvian team played in two groups of the World Cup [3] .

The desire to participate in the championship was announced by the President of the National Bandy Federation of Denmark, Ole Guldenlev, subject to a successful search for sponsorship funds.
The successful holding of the European tournament in Davos in January 2014 intensified the efforts of the Swiss Bandy Union to form the national team and Switzerland's participation in the upcoming world championships.
Separate statements about imminent joining the number of participants in international competitions at different times sounded from Armenia and Poland.
Of the participants in the 2014 World Cup, refusal to participate in the championship came from the Ukrainian team [6] and the Canadian team [7] .
Gold and silver medals at the end of the final match for the first time in the history of the world hockey championships were presented by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation D.A.
