History
According to the “Topographic Map of Parts of the St. Petersburg and Vyborg Provinces” in 1860, on the site of the village of Knyazevo, there was a Rural Order House [2] .
On the map of 1913, on the site of the village of Knyazevo , Dacha is indicated [3] .
According to 1933, the village of Knyazevo was part of the Babigonsky Finnish National Village Council of the Oranienbaum District [4] .
According to the topographic map of 1939, the village was called Knyazev Village and consisted of 5 peasant households .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Knyazevo was part of the Babigonsky village council [5] [6] [7] .
In 1997, 19 people lived in the village of Knyazevo of the Babigonsky volost, in 2002 - 40 people (Russians - 95%) [8] [9] .
In 2007, in the village of Knyazevo, the Nizinsky Joint Venture - 37 [10] .
Geography
The village is located in the north-eastern part of the district, north of the highway 41K-623 ( Maryino - Sashino ) and the administrative center of the village of Nizino .
Through the village passes the Saninsky Road. The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 4 km [10] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Novy Petergof is 2 km [5] .
The village is located on the right bank of the Staropeterhof canal .
