Fernand Boone (August 1, 1934 - September 11, 2013 [1] ) is a Belgian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

Club career
Fernand Boone made his debut in professional football in 1952 at the age of 18, his first club was Brugge . He remained at the club for a total of 19 years, during which he played 307 matches. In 1967, he received the Soccer Player of the Year Award in Belgium [2] . In addition, he twice won the Belgian football cup . In 1971, he joined Ruselare , a team where he ended his career as a player after spending one season with the club.
Fernand Boone died on September 11, 2013 in Ghent at the age of 79 years [1] .
National Team
Fernand Boone played a total of eight times for the Belgian national team , debuting on April 16, 1967 in a friendly match against Holland . He replaced the goalkeeper “ Standard Liege ”, Jean Nicholas , Belgium won with a minimum score.
