Biography

Born in Olonets in Karelian family.

In 1948 she graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University and was assigned to work at the Institute of Language, Literature and History as part of the Karelian-Finnish branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences .

In 1952 she graduated from the graduate school at the Leningrad branch of the Institute of History of the USSR Academy of Sciences , worked as a scientific secretary of the Presidium of the Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences , head of the history sector.

In 1965-1988 - Director of the Institute of Language, Literature and History of the Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences .

In the years 1968-1969 she participated in the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Dakar and Vienna .

In 1976-1987 - Chairman of the Soviet part of the Soviet-Finnish working group on scientific cooperation in the field of history.

She was elected to the National Committee of Historians of the USSR , the Soviet Committee of Finno-Ugric Studies , a foreign member of the Finnish Literature Society , a corresponding member of the Finnish Historical Society.

She was elected a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Karelian ASSR, the Supreme Council of the Karelian-Finnish SSR of the IV convocation [2] , a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the VII convocation . Freeman of Petrozavodsk (1987).

He is the author of more than eighty scientific papers.
