EMA 2014

EMA 2014 was the 18th competition of the Slovenian national finals, which elected a representative from Slovenia for Eurovision 2014 . “RTVSLO” officially confirmed the participation of Slovenia at Eurovision on January 17, 2014 after a double extension of the initial deadline which was set for November 22, 2013, so that the broadcaster could find the necessary funding for the participation. [1] On January 23, 2014, RTVSLO announced that the EMA 2014 competition would be a competition to select a representative of Slovenia for the 2014 competition, RTVSLO also decided to abandon the organization of the competition through internal selection and preferred national selection. Misha Molk (head of the project “RTVSLO”) and Alexander Radic (head of the delegation of Slovenia at Eurovision) were responsible for organizing the national final. The competition was held on March 8, 2014, where the candidates and composers were presented, who received an invitation to participate in the competition. The winning song and the performer were determined solely by a televoting vote. [2]
