The Sofia Diocese ( Bulgarian. Sofia Diocese ) is the diocese of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church with a pulpit in the city of Sofia and bishops' deputies in Samokov , Ikhtiman , Dupnitsa , Radomir , Kyustendil , Tryn and Godech .

History
Thanks to its favorable geographical position, Sofia (Serdika, Sredets) became a famous Christian center from the beginning to the 4th century . In 343, an important church council was convened here, which strengthened the authority of the Bishopric of Sofia.
