The early years
Jerome Lane was born in Akron ( Ohio ), studied at the Akron School of St. Vincent - St. Mary, in which he played for the local basketball team. In 1985, he took part in the McDonald's All-American game, in which the best graduates of schools in the USA and Canada take part.
Student career
In 1988, Lane graduated from the University of Pittsburgh , where for three years he played for the Pittsburgh Panthers team, in which he had a successful career, gaining 1217 points, 970 rebounds, 206 assists, 105 interceptions and 34 block shots, becoming in the 1986 / season 1987 the leader of the first division of the NCAA rebounds [1] . Played as a heavy forward and light forward . In 1988, he was selected for the NBA draft under the 23rd number by the Denver Nuggets team. He later played for the Indiana Pacers , Milwaukee Bucks , KB Granada , Cleveland Cavaliers , La Cross Crossbirds ( KBA ), Rapid City Thrillers (KBA), Oklahoma City Cavelry (KBA), Filateliko Forum , Kaha Cantabria , and Idaho Stampid (KBA). In total, the NBA spent 5 seasons. In 1988, he joined the 2nd All-American National Team of the NCAA [1] . Foreign career
After the early completion of his professional career in the NBA, Lane moved to Europe , where he played for several seasons in Spain , becoming a real master of selection. In 1987, Lane won the silver medals of the Pan American Games in Indianapolis as a member of the US national team , losing in the final of the Brazilian national team (115-120) [5] .
