Content

Description

Perennial weakly branched shrubs 10-30 cm tall. The root root is thick. Leaves twice pinnately dissected, first felt, then bare. The flowers are tubular and false-tongued, yellow or orange, located in single baskets with a diameter of up to 2 cm. Flowering period is June-July [2] [3] .

Calcephitis . It occurs on deposits of Cretaceous rocks. It is a component of grass communities on Cretaceous and marl rocks [2] .

Range

Volga-Ural endemic . It is found in Russia in the Volga region and the Southern Urals . It grows abroad in Kazakhstan [3] .

In Russia

Vulnerable view. It is listed in the Red Book of Russia ; Red books of the Orenburg , Saratov , Samara , Volgograd regions . It occurs on the territory of two specially protected natural territories of Russia [4] . It dies in connection with cattle grazing and the production of chalk in the places of its growth.

Abroad

It is listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan [5] and in the List of rare plants of the European Union ( English European Red List of Vascular Plants ) [6] .
