History
Ladomirovsky district was formed as part of the Voronezh region in 1935.
The ethnic composition of the district according to the census of 1939 : Ukrainians - 73.8% or 14 344 people, Russians - 25.8% or 5013 people [1] .
As of 1945, the district was divided into 11 village councils: Varvarovsky, Zhabsky, Zapolensky, Kopansky, Krasnyansky, Ladomirovsky, Maslovsky, Nikolaev, Novo-Aleksandrovsky, Kharkov, Shelyakinsky.
January 6, 1954 Ladomirovsky district moved to the Belgorod region.
On January 8, 1958, the Ladomirovsky district was renamed Sovetsky district , and its center, the village of Shelyakino, into Sovetsky.
On April 1, 1961, the Soviet District was abolished.
