Length - 253 km, catchment area - 6475 km². [1] The river originates in the north of Pennsylvania ( Potter County ), after which it flows northward, where it flows into Lake Ontario in Rochester . The river abounds with waterfalls, even near the mouth.
Finger Lakes are located east of the river. [2]
Since ancient times , the Seneca Indians inhabited the river valley. [3]
