Biography
Born on October 14, 1960 in Moscow.
In 1982 he graduated from the History Department of Moscow State University . In 1982-1986 - assistant , teacher of the Department of Philosophy and History of the IIMM . Since the mid-1980s, he worked as a lecturer and researcher in the Moscow Kremlin , was a keeper of the funds of Lenin’s office and apartment. Candidate of Historical Sciences (1988, the dissertation "Historical and Party Creativity of M. N. Lyadov " defended at the Moscow State Institute of Atomic Energy ).
Since 1994, he has acted in the media as a press secretary of the Main Directorate of the Protection of Russia. Since 1996 - Head of the Center for Press and Public Relations of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, (FSO of Russia), where for 2014 he was an adviser to the director of the FSO, head of the center for press and public relations.
In 1998, he defended a dissertation at GASBU “The emergence and formation of autocracy in Soviet Russia. 1922-1927 ”, having received the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. In 2000-2012, he was a professor at the University Department of History at Moscow City Pedagogical University . Professor, specialty Domestic History (07.00.02.) From December 1, 2011
Since 2009 - chief editor of the magazine “Kremlin-9 - GDP”; Member of the editorial board of the magazines Rodina , Istoricheskiy Vestnik , Svobodnaya Thought, Rodnaya Ladoga, and others. Full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the Academy of Culture and Arts, member of the Russian House of Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences [1] .
In January 2014, he was appointed head of the Department of Russian History of the 20th - 21st centuries, Faculty of History, Moscow State University [2] .
Member of the interagency working group to coordinate activities aimed at implementing the Concept of public policy to perpetuate the memory of victims of political repression. [3]
Scientific activity
In 2018, he was the author of 187 scientific articles, 116 books [4] (of which 12 teaching and methodical) [5] , books on domestic history, the history of the Moscow Kremlin, state protection of Russia; scientific consultant, as well as author, co-author of more than 130 scripts of documentaries about the Moscow Kremlin [6] .
