Dzerzhinsky Street (formerly Arsenalskaya , Main Arsenalskaya , Count Kutaisova , Trotsky ) is a street in the Right-Bank District of Irkutsk , one of the central and oldest streets of the city. It is located in the historical center between the parallel Karl Marx and Timiryazev streets, it starts from the intersection with Lenin Street , and ends with the intersection with October Revolution Street .

In 1929, the street was renamed Dzerzhinsky Street [1] .
In 1947, the street was asphalted [2] .
In 2009, sold-out houses with its historical name appeared on Dzerzhinsky Street [3] .
In 2013, reconstruction of the square for the memory of rescuers [4] began on Dzerzhinsky Street; in 2014, a monument to the rescuers was opened in the square [5] .
