It is part of the municipal formation Zharikovskoye rural settlement and is its administrative center.

Content

History

One of the oldest in the area . Among the first settlers who arrived in 1863 in the neighboring Khankai district , there were several families of Old Believers: the families of Akim, Epifan and Semyon Zharikov, as well as Grigory and Nikifor Zharikov. Later, in 1874, the Zharikovs founded a settlement , 28 miles from the village of Astrakhan , the future village of Zharikovo. Peasants sowed wheat, oats, barley, millet, peas, buckwheat, potatoes, were engaged in gardening. In 1891, a wooden church and a bread store were built. Agriculture, cattle breeding, beekeeping and fishing developed in the village. Dairy cows were brought from Samara , the bees were purchased in 1896 in the village of Chernigovka . After the 1917 revolution , many residents participated in the civil war on the side of the Bolsheviks . In the 30s, the Far East collective farm was organized in the village, its own brewery and dairy plant were built. At present, it is the third village in the region by the number of inhabitants [2] .

Infrastructure

In the village there are: a school, a district hospital, a club, a kindergarten, a road section, a leshoz unit. The largest livestock and pigs, many crops, soybeans and corn are sown. There is OJSC Zharikovskoye, one of the leading agricultural producers not only in the district, but also in Primorsky Krai.
