History
The first two sites were built in the 1980s. The very first section connected the D5 motorway with K Barrandova street, another D10 motorway with road 11 (today this road is numbered as 611 ). In 1993, a continuation was built from road 11 to road 12 , which in 1997 was connected to the Shterbogol radial road. At the turn of the century, two consecutive sections were built connecting the D5 motorway with the D6 and D7 motorways. The last to be opened was a large section from K Barrandova Street to the D1 motorway in 2010. As of 2015, no new sites are under construction. Starting January 1, 2016, R1 has become the D0 motorway. [2]
Disputes over the Northern Route
The design of the route from the airport to the D8 motorway causes considerable controversy. There are two options for the route [3] : the main option via and the alternative via . The first option is shorter, however, it passes through the populated area of Sukhdol (a tunnel is planned to be built), as well as a natural park on the banks of the Vltava. For this reason, the leadership of Sukhdol and various environmental movements are actively opposing this option. The second option is longer, but passes through a less populated area. Due to disputes, the project has not yet been included in the general plan of the Central Bohemian Region.
Land
In total, the district is divided into 10 sections, which are given the numbers 510-520 [1] . Planned areas are highlighted in red.
