Geidi Primes is the debut studio album of Canadian musician Grimes , released on January 10, 2010 by Arbutus Records. The title of the album and some song titles refer to Frank Hebert’s novel Dune .

Record prerequisites
Grimes did not expect the album to be successful, and assumed that no one would ever hear it. She also stated that the album was “artless” [1] .
The title of the album refers to the fictional planet Gyedi Prime from a series of Frank Gebert novels about the Dune Universe . The 1965 Dune novel is Grames' favorite book [1] [2] [3] . The first Caladan track refers to a fictional planet of the same name .
