Chaotian ( Chinese р天 , Pinyin : Cháotiān ) is the urban subordination district of Guangyuan Urban District of Sichuan ( PRC ). The district is named after the village of Chaotianzhen, which is part of its composition, which houses the district administration.

History
In 217, Zhaohuan County (昭 欢 县) was established in these places in the kingdom of Shu. Under the Jin Empire, it was renamed Shaohuan (邵 欢 县). Under the empire of North Wei, the county in 505 was called Chitin (石亭 县). Under the Western Wei empire, in 573, Shitin County was annexed to Xin'an County , later renamed Miangou, and then became Guangyuan County.
In 1985, by the decision of the State Council of the PRC, the Guangyuan urban district was formed, and the territory of the former Guangyuan county became the Central District (市 中 区) in its composition. In 1989, the Chaotian district was allocated from it.
