Foxworth was born in Houston, Texas, and began his acting career on the stage in Washington, DC [1] . Since the early seventies, Foxworth has played over eighty roles on television, and has appeared in several films such as Airport 77 (1977), Omen 2: Damien (1978) and Prophecy (1979).
Foxworth is best known for his role as Chase Ghiberty, the long-suffering nephew of the evil heroine Jane Wyman, in the CBS prime time soap opera Falcon Cross , where he starred from 1981 to 1987. Foxworth, ironically, was the original performer of the role of the villain Jay Ara Ewing in the prime time soap opera CBS " Dallas ", but he was fired from the show because he wanted the producers to soften the character's character [2] .
Foxworth was the fourth and last husband of actress Elizabeth Montgomery , until her death in 1995 [1] . Since then, he has mainly performed guest roles in various television series, such as Star Trek: Deep Space 9 , Star Trek: Enterprise , Law and Order , Client is Always Dead , Gilmore Girls , " Bones " and " Brothers and Sisters ." Foxworth also voiced Ratchet in the Transformers series.
