Biography
Born February 17, 1962 in the Urusssa of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .
In 1985 he graduated from the Heat and Power Engineering Department of MPEI. In 1988, he defended his thesis, and in 1998 - his doctoral dissertation (on the topic "Environmental Technologies in the Power System" [4] ). Trained (Leading Researcher) at the Institute of Innovation, Creativity and Capital, University of Texas ( USA , 1996), Exchange Scholar (visiting scholar), University of Texas in Austin , USA (1994, 1997).
The scientific interests of ND Rogalyov include the scientific, technological and economic problems of the fuel and energy complex , technological transfer and commercialization of technologies, and problems of education [3] .
In 2001, ND Rogalyov headed the Department of Industrial Economics and Organization of Enterprises of the National Research University of Power Engineering (now the Department of Economics in Energy and Industry, EES). Under his leadership, the department launched research in the fields of economics and management of the fuel and energy complex , as well as the commercialization of technologies and the development of innovative activities at universities [5] . In 2003-2007 He also worked as vice-rector of MPEI for innovation [6] .
Starting March 15, 2013, ND Rogalev was ordered by the RF Ministry of Education and Science dated March 13, 2013 to fulfill the duties of the rector of NRU “MEI” [7] . On June 27, 2013, a conference of the MPEI team, held at the MPEI Culture Center, elected ND Rogalyov to the post of rector of the MPEI NRU (he received the support of 87% of delegates) [6] [8] .
As N. D. Rogalyov noted at his press conference on March 27, 2014, summing up the results of the first year of his work as the rector of MPEI, the university in 2013 for the first time in modern history came to a deficit-free budget. At the end of the year, the university - also for the first time - was included in the ranking of the 100 best universities of the BRICS member countries . The university leadership presented its medium-term development program for MPEI until 2018 [9] .
In 2014, as part of the anniversary events held in Bishkek on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Kyrgyz State Technical University, N. D. Rogalev was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of KSTU [10] .

The son of N. D. Rogalyov - Rogalyov Andrey Nikolaevich; graduated from the Institute for Energy Efficiency Problems (IPEEf) MPEI, Ph.D., an employee of CJSC ESCoTek; winner of the prize of the Government of Russia in the field of science and technology for young scientists for 2013 [14] [15] .
