Description
The population lives on two streets: Bytenskaya and Zapolskaya. A small rivulet flows through the village and flows into the Shchara River. A store, a bathhouse [1] and a livestock complex operate in Zapolye. Earlier in the village there was a school and turpentine production. Not far from the village is a reservoir. At a distance of 200 meters from Zapolye begins the village of Mantyuta .
As of 2013, there were 112 residents and 59 households in the village [1] .
Etymology
This proper name is a landmark name, meaning "settlement beyond the field" [3] .
