Biography
Chershintsev was born on June 22, 1944 in Magnitogorsk .
He graduated from high school number 18, then - Magnitogorsk Industrial College.
In 1968 he received a diploma in metallurgical engineering at the Magnitogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Institute .
He worked for 14 years at the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works , began working as a henchman, and ended up as deputy chief of the workshop.
Then Chershintsev - at the Komsomol and party work, was the first secretary of the Komsomol city committee. He served as head of the heavy industry department of the Chelyabinsk regional party committee.
Soon he headed the South Ural Main Territorial Administration of the USSR Gossnab , in this position he worked for about seven years.
He was elected to the city and regional Councils, then was a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for two convocations in a row.
He also worked as deputy chairman of the deputy group "Regions of Russia" , was a member of the Central Political Council of the party " United Russia " and the coordinating Council of centrist factions in the State Duma.
He was married, had daughters. He died on January 21, 2014 .
