The Order of Distinguished Service ( Vietnamese Luc Quan Huan Chuong ) is a military award from South Vietnam .

Description
The order was awarded to military personnel and civilians for committing an outstanding feat in wartime. They were also awarded military personnel from other countries, in particular, in the US Army this order was considered the equivalent of the Legion of Honor .
The order consisted of two classes, the first for officers, the second for rank and file:
- Army (I class)
- Army (II class)
- Air Force (I class)
- Air Force (Grade II)
- Naval forces (I class)
- Naval forces (II class)
The last award of the Order of Outstanding Merit took place in 1974 , the year before the fall of Saigon .
