Story

The main character of the film is John Farley, a writer who became famous after writing a book on how to help himself achieve success in life. He is offered to return to his hometown in order to receive an award, namely the key to the city. After arriving and meeting with his mother, he learns that she has been meeting with his school physical education teacher, Mr. Woodcock, who has mocked him during his entire period of schooling for several months.

John decides that he cannot leave this city until his mother meets a man who mocked him during all his school years. He begins by all means to try to blacken Woodcocco in the eyes of his mother and provoke a break in their relationship.
