The Belebeyev canton ( Bashk. Bәlәby cantons ) is a canton as part of the Autonomous Bashkir Socialist Soviet Republic (1922-1930).

Geographical position
The Belebeyev canton was located in the western part of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . The canton bordered the Birsk canton in the north, the Sterlitamak and Ufa cantons of the Bashkir ASSR in the east, the Orenburg province in the south, and the Samara province and the Tatar ASSR in the west.
History
The Belebeyevsky canton was formed on July 18, 1922 as a part of the Autonomous Bashkir Soviet Republic from 44 volosts of the Belebeyevsky district .
On October 5, 1922, Pokrovskaya and Fedorovskaya volosts were transferred to the Sterlitamak canton.
On February 10, 1923, the territory of the abolished Tok-Churan canton was included in the canton , according to the Decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on October 21, 1924, this territory of the former Tok-Churan Canton was transferred to the Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic [1] .
According to the decree of the Presidium of the Bashkir Central Executive Committee of February 10, 1923, the Belebeyevsky canton was divided into 17 volosts, and by decrees of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of December 15, 1924 and of June 14, 1926 - into 19 volosts.
On August 20, 1930, the Belebeyevsky canton was abolished, and its territory became part of the Bakalinsky (Bakalinsky, Kuruchevskaya, parts of the Rezyapovskaya and Sharanskaya volosts), Belebeyevsky (parts of the Belebeyevskaya, Verkhne-Troitskaya, Yermekeyevsky, Slakovskaya and Chukadamak volosts), Bizhbizh part, Bizhbizhuzhkulsky, Bizhbizh part , Priyutovskaya and Slakovskaya volosts), Buzdyaksky (parts of Akhunovskaya, Buzdyaksky and Chukadytamaksky volosts), Davlekanovsky (Davlekanovskaya, parts of Alsheevskaya and Buzdyaksky volosts), Kirghiz-Miyakinsky (Kirghiz-Miyakinskaya, part and Alsheevskaya, Zildyarovskaya and Slakovskaya volosts), Priyutovsky [2] (parts of Belebeyevskaya, Ermekeevskaya and Priyutovskaya volosts), Tuymazinsky (parts of Adnagulovskaya, Akhunovskaya, Buzdyakskaya, Verkhny-Troitskaya, Chukadytamaksky and Sharanskaya volosteva) and Chekadyamskaya volosteva) and Chekadyamma (Chekadytamak volostevgia) and Chekadyamskaya volostgeya (Chekadytamak volostevgie) and Chekadyamg volostevgii (Chekadytamak volostevg) and areas of the autonomous republic.
Administrative division
According to the decree of the Presidium of the Bashkir central executive committee of February 10, 1923, the Belebeyevsky canton consisted of the following volosts:
- Adnagulovskaya (with the volost center - the village of Adnagulovo, formed from the volosts of Adnagulovskaya, Verkhne-Bishindinskaya, Nikolaev and Tyumenyakovskaya);
- Aksakovskaya (village Nadezhdino, from the volosts of Aksakovskaya, Meneuzbashevskaya and Usen-Ivanovskaya);
- Alsheevskaya (village Alsheevo, from the volosts of Alsheevskaya, Nigametullinsky, Slakovskaya and Truntaishevskaya);
- Bakalinskaya (v. Bakaly, from the volosts of Bakalinskaya, Diyashevskaya and Nagaybakskaya);
- Buzdyak (village Buzdyak, from the volosts of Buzdyak and Chermassan)
- Vasilyevskaya (d. Biktashevo, from the volosts of Vasilyevskaya and N. Shakhovskaya);
- Gaynyyamakovskaya (village of Gaynyyamakova, from the volosts of Gaynyyamakovskaya, Ilchigulovskaya and Kirghiz-Miyakinskaya);
- Davlekanovskaya (village Davlekanovo, from the volosts of Imai-Karamalinskaya and Kazangulovskaya);
- Yermekeevskaya (village of Yermekeevo, from the volosts of Yermekeevskaya, Ilyinskaya and Semeno-Makarovskaya);
- Zildyarovskaya (village of Zildyarovo, from the volosts of Artyukhovskaya, Zildyarovskaya and Ilkulminskaya);
- Kuruchevskaya (village Kuruchevo, from the volosts of Karyanzinsky and Kuruchevskaya);
- Staro-Kalmashevskaya (village of St. Kalmashevo, from the volosts of Imyanlikulinskaya and St. Kalmashevskaya);
- Troitskaya (village of Troitsky, from the volosts of V. Troitskaya, Elizavetinsky and S. Turaevskaya);
- Tyuryushevskaya (village Tyuryushevo, from Tyuryushevskaya volost);
- Chukadamtamak (v. Chukadamtamakovo, from Chukadamtamak volost);
- Sharanskaya (the village of Sharan from the volosts of Zaitovskaya, Kichkinyashevskaya, N.-Yuzinskaya and Sharanskaya);
- Tok-Churan (c. Shikhobalovo, from the former Tok-Churan canton ).
According to the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on December 15, 1924, the Belebeevsky canton consisted of the following volosts: Adnagulovskaya (center - Tuymaz station), Alsheevskaya (village Alsheevo), Akhunovskaya (village Akhunova), Bakalinskaya (village Bakaly), Belebeyevskaya (Belebey city) ), Bishbulakovskaya (village of Bishbulak), Buzdyakovskaya (village of Buzdyak), Verkhne-Troitskaya (village of Verkhne-Troitskoye), Davlekanovskaya (village of Davlekanovo), Ermekeevskaya (village of Ermekeeevo), Zildyarovskaya (village of Zildyarovo) Miyakinskaya (village of Kirghiz-Miyaki), Kuruchevskaya (village of Kurucheva), Priyutovskaya (village of Priyutovo), Rezyapovskaya (village of Rezyapova), Slakovskaya (village of Nikifor in) Chekmagushevskaya (d. Chekmagush) Chukadytamakskaya (d. Chukadytamak) Sharansky (s. Sharan).

Farm
The main sector of the economy of the canton was agriculture. In 1927, the area of arable land was 554.5 thousand ha, in which crops of rye (206.6 thousand ha) and wheat (117.9 thousand ha) predominated, and there were also crops of oats - 95.4 thousand ha, millet - 42.1 thousand hectares, buckwheat - 39.7 thousand hectares, potatoes - 15.5 thousand hectares, etc.
The number of cattle in 1927 reached 227 415, horses - 170 298, sheep - 601 449, goats - 28 640 and pigs - 29 315.
In 1926, 87 bazaars functioned. The Belebeyevsky distillery and the Znamensky distillery, a tannery, and a cloth factory worked.
In 1926, there were 524 first-level schools in the canton, in 1929 - 1 library and 29 reading rooms, in 1930 - 14 hospitals and 18 outpatient clinics.
