History
Since 1825, the Novotorzhsky Spiritual School has been located in buildings on Uspenskaya Street (now Ananin Square, 61) donated by A. A. Poltoratskoi [1] .
The house church organized in the school, dedicated to the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky and the Monk Alexander Svirsky, was located on the territory of the school and was a single-headed dvukhvetny chetverik under the four-roll end. The church was erected at the expense of Novotorzhsky merchant Shachkovsky, closed in Soviet times, partially rebuilt (demolished) [2] .
