Biography
Born in Chalet- sur-Loing ( French: Chalette-sur-Loing ) in 1928 . As a child, he watched his village turn into a suburb of Montargis . The themes of the transformation of the village into a city, changes in the familiar landscape become the main one in most of his works, especially in the novel "Man Among the Sands" (1975). While studying at the college, which fell during the war , he began to write poetry. In 1948 he moved to Paris , where he studied philosophy at the Sorbonne. He taught modern American literature in Montpellier .
