Biography

Born in a Russian working class family. A farm worker from wealthy peasants in the village of Sokolovka, Ryazan district, from May 1913 to March 1917, then a boy in the store of a loan and savings partnership in Ryazan until November 1918, a worker at the warehouse of the Moscow regional union association in Ryazan until December 1919. He studied at the construction college in Ryazan from December 1919 to August 1920. A worker at the Central Union warehouse in Ryazan from August 1920 to December 1921, unemployed in Ryazan from December 1921 to May 1924.

Private Kronstadt border detachment of the OGPU from May 1924 to September 1925. Cadet of the 1st Border School of the OGPU in Leningrad from September 1925 to January 1927. In the CPSU (b) from November 1927 (member of the Komsomol in 1925-1927). Assistant to the chief of the outpost , then commandant for political affairs of the 5th border detachment of the OGPU from January 1927 to September 1929. Cadet of the Higher Border School of the OGPU from September 1929 to September 1930. Assistant to the authorized 3rd border detachment of the OGPU from October 1930 to December 1931. The Commissioner and senior authorized officer of the 3rd border detachment of the OGPU from December 1931 to April 1934, the 5th border detachment of the OGPU-NKVD from April 1934 to May 1935. He studied at the Military Academy of the Red Army. MV Frunze from May 1935 to September 1938. Assistant to the Head of the 4th Division of the 5th Division of the GUGB NKVD of the USSR from July 1 to November 23, 1938. Head of the 3rd special department of the NKVD of the USSR from November 23 to December 23, 1938. Head Kremlin commandant’s command of the NKVD — NKGB – MGB of the USSR from December 23, 1938 to September 26, 1953, also head of the 10th department of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs from March 1953 until his retirement on November 25, 1953.
