Zakhar Ivanovich Barkovsky ( Belorussian. Zakhar Ivanavich Barkoiski ; September 3, 1911 , the village of Liplyansk , Vitebsk province [1] - October 4, 1995 ) - a worker of Soviet agriculture, Hero of Socialist Labor (1971). Honored Agronomist of the BSSR (1966). Biography

He graduated from Smolensk Agricultural College in 1933 and BSHA in 1957. In 1934-1939 he was an agronomist of the Pobolovo state farm in the Rogachevsky district [3] . Since 1944 - Director of the Ustye experimental base of the Orsha district . Hero title awarded for success in the development of agricultural production [2] .

Rewards and memory

He was awarded the Orders of Lenin, World War 2 degree [4] , the Red Banner of Labor, medals, including "For Courage". On the facade of the administrative building of the Ustye experimental base in 2011, a memorial plaque was erected in honor of Z. I. Barkovsky [5] .
