First of all, this stadium is known for the fact that here, on November 30, 1872, the first ever international football match between the national teams of Scotland and England was held . The match ended with the score 0-0 [1] .

In the future, at this stadium, the Scottish team played matches in 1874 and 1876 before moving to Hampden Park . The Scottish Cup Final of 1877 also took place at this stadium.
