Grandstream networks

Grandstream Networks is a company manufacturing IP-telephony and IP-video surveillance equipment. The company was founded by a team of private entrepreneurs in the United States in 2002. The headquarters of the company is located in Boston ( Massachusetts ), its own production is carried out in China ( Shenzhen ). The company's equipment is based on the use of the open SIP protocol . In 2014, the company employs more than 400 employees worldwide, 7 company offices are located in the Americas, Asia and Africa. Grandstream Networks is one of the five largest manufacturers of VoIP equipment in the world [1] . The company is a regular exhibitor of the largest specialized exhibition CeBIT .

Development History

2003-2004 year

Grandstream Networks started production with the release of low-cost and reliable VoIP adapters and in 2003 was awarded with awards in the field of IP-telephony . After the initial successes, the product range has expanded to include IP phones for home use.

2005-2006 year

In 2005-2006, the production of equipment for small and medium-sized businesses began. The portfolio of products was replenished with VoIP gateways , office telephones and videophones . At the end of 2006, the company received several prestigious awards and the TMC Labs Award; Grandstream was seriously talked about in the global IP telephony market.

2008

Grandstream Networks unveiled its first IP PBX . At the same time, critical processes began to take place in the telephony market, consumers fully felt the full benefits and convenience of VoIP, as a result of which there was serious competition between players in this field. Since 2008, the Grandstream product portfolio has become a single solution, without involving third-party equipment [2] .

2009

Since 2009, Grandstream Networks has taken a new niche in the market by launching the production of IP video surveillance cameras, which, supporting the SIP protocol, provide two-way voice and image transmission to VoIP terminal devices. Built-in or external microphones and speakers, as well as “dry contacts” , have expanded the scope of new products. Dry Contacts, which are essentially event-driven relays, are connected to electric locks , to the fire safety system, etc. In the same year, a new videophone with Skype support was released.

2010-2012

During these years, the model range of both video cameras and telephone sets was actively updated, a SIP - DECT system with roaming support was introduced. The first anti-vandal cameras and IR cameras appeared.

Grandstream equipment was used during the 2012 US presidential election at the headquarters of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney [3] .

2013

In 2013, almost all outdoor cameras were equipped with IR illumination. The launch of high-density VoIP gateways and premium telephones with color LCD screens has begun .

Grandstream Networks Line

IP Phones for Home and Office

GXP1xxx series - simple IP phones for home and office based on Linux . Convenient to configure and use, the devices are made in two versions: with PoE power support and without. Grandstream phones are compatible with the MultiFon service from the Russian operator MegaFon [4] .

Premium IP Phones for Medium and Large Businesses

GXP2xxx series are advanced IP phones with wide functionality. All phones in this series support line status monitoring (BLF) with two-color displays, and expansion modules can be installed on some models.

DECT SIP Phones

SIP Wireless Telephony System - DECT DP715 / 710 .

VoIP Adapters

Adapters of the HT series (HandyTone) are used to connect analog devices and telephone lines to a VoIP environment. Support fax transmission, pulse dialing.

VoIP Gateways

GXW4xxx series analog gateways are available in both desktop and rack-mount versions; the number of FXS and FXO ports on devices varies (up to 48 ports per unit). The operation of two gateways without registration on a SIP server is supported to extend analog lines through an IP network .

IP PBX

A series of hardware IP-PBX UCM61xx based on Asterisk . It supports fast deployment of a telephony system, recording conversations on a schedule and other conditions, video calls, conference calls . All stations are equipped with built-in FXS and FXO gateways.

IP videophones

GXV3xxx series - video phones with push-button or touch control, with different screen diagonals. An account in the IPVideoTalk system is “flashed” in all devices, which allows owners of Grandstream video phones to communicate with each other for free.

IP Cameras

The GXV36xx series is presented by cameras of internal and external surveillance. All cameras in the series are SIP end devices that allow two-way audio and video communications. Implemented in various versions.

IP video gateways

The GXV35xx series is used to integrate analog cameras into an IP environment.

Video Conference Systems (VKS)

The GVC32xx series is used to create video conferences; the entire line is equipped with PTZ cameras.

Audio Systems

The GAC2XXX series is used to create audio conferencing.
