History
The history of tea houses began in 1967, when the first log cabin was built by Tatar craftsmen. The first two tea houses were located much closer to the plantation of the northernmost tea in the world, growing on the slopes of the Caucasus Mountains in the vicinity of Sochi. Later, only the kitchen was preserved, which served the first two tea houses, while they themselves were dismantled in the early 2000s according to their “old age”. The main house began to be built in 1977, and acted on July 14, 1979. It was designed by architect Yu. L. Schwarzbraym and corresponds to the pre-revolutionary construction of the house of a prosperous merchant of Central Russia and South Siberia. It was created to receive foreign guests in order to show them the original Russian culture and introduce them to the Russian craft. The House was built for two and a half years by a family of Hutsuls - a father and three sons. The landscape design of the territory was dealt with by S.I. Venchagov, and it is almost completely preserved in its original form.
