Tongliang ( Chinese р 铜梁 , pinyin : Tóngliáng ) is the district of city subordination of the city of central subordination Chongqing ( PRC ).

Geography
Tongliang is located in the west of Chongqing. The area is hilly, there are mountains. The highest point has a height of 902 meters, a minimum height of 185 meters. The percentage of forest cover is 33%.
The climate in Tongliang is mild, subtropical monsoon, with four seasons and heavy rains. The average annual rainfall is 1075 mm, the average annual temperature is + 17.8ºС, the average annual relative humidity is 82%, the frost-free period is 225 days.
History
Tongliang County was created under the Tang Empire in 704; it received its name in honor of Mount Tongliangshan, located in the east of the county. Under the Qing Empire, in 1662, the Tongliang and Anju counties were disbanded, and the He (合 州) region was created in their place, but in 1721 it was transformed into the Tongliang county (occupying the territory of both the old Tongliang and Anju counties).
In 1983, Tongliang County was transferred from Sichuan to Chongqing.
On May 2, 2014, Tongliang County was transformed into an area of urban subordination.
