Kawaiisu is a nearly extinct Native American language that belongs to the South Num group of the Num Num subfamily of the Uto-Astek language family, spoken by the Kawaiisu people who live in the Tehachapi Mojave area of the Mojave Desert in southern California in the United States. Almost all the people currently speak English. Only ten people left who know this language .
