Vladimir Mikhailovich Polenov (born January 1, 1951 ) is a Russian diplomat.

Biography

He graduated from MGIMO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (1974). At diplomatic work since 1974. He speaks Spanish , English and German .

In 1995-1997 - Counselor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Austria .
In 1996-2000, he was deputy director of the Fourth European Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2000-2005 - Counselor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Germany .
In 2006 - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Policy Planning of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the years he was an assistant director of the Third European Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From February 20, 2012 to March 14, 2016 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Jamaica ^[1] ^[2] .
