Sphagnum of Ongstrom , or Sphagnum of Ongstrom ( lat. Sphagnum aongstroemii ) - a species of the genus Sphagnum ( Sphagnum ) of the family Sphagnum ( Sphagnaceae ).

Content
Description
Dioecious leafy moss up to 30 cm high. The stem is thick, with a 3-5-layer hyalodermis, yellowish-green in color. Stem leaves of a linguistic form, 1-1.4 mm wide and 0.6-0.8 mm long. Branches are collected 5 in a bunch. Branch leaves 1.7-2 mm long and 1 mm wide, ovate-lanceolate [2] [3] .
It lives on waterlogged transitional bogs, outskirts of high bogs, coastal boulders and crevices of wet rocks in the mountain tundra , in the subsoil of moist and swampy forests [2] .
Range
It is found in Russia in the European part , Siberia , in the Far East . Abroad lives in Northern Europe , the peninsula of Korea , Japan , Northern Europe [3] .
Guard Status
It is listed in the Red Books of the Leningrad Region , Vologda Region , Buryatia . It lives in the territories of a number of specially protected natural territories of Russia [4] .
