History
In 1889, on the site of a modern building, there was a wooden house and outbuildings owned by the merchant-manufactory Mikhail Vasilievich Shcherbakov. In 1901, a two-story mansion was built in their place. It housed a hotel, which was called "Shcherbakovsky numbers."
After the death of the merchant, the building passed to his heirs, and after the October Revolution of 1917 it was nationalized. During the Civil War in 1918, the building was the headquarters of the 30th Infantry Division of V. K. Blucher , and then - a thrift store. After 1919, the house of the peasant, the Communist Party city committee, was located in the house of Shcherbakov. Currently, there is the administration of the Kungur district and other state institutions.
The building from May 15, 1986 is a monument of urban planning and architecture of local importance.
