History
The Kuybyshevsky Metallurgical Plant acted as the main builder of the Metallurg stadium (built in 1957), which later, in addition to Metallurg, began to perform "Wings of the Soviets . " In 1969, “Wings of the Soviets” left the Premier League and the next season both teams had to play in the same tournament. But in the winter of 1970, Metallurg was disbanded, the stadium and some of the players ( Voronin , Getsko , Zinchenko , Zuev, Ivan Pavlovich , Kobylskov , Korablev , Platonov , Yutkin ) were transferred to Wings. The footballers who were not included ( Gorshkov , Guzhenkov , Ermakov , Kikin , Sokolov , Tebelev , Shurupov), led by coach Alfred Fedorov, became the basis of the new Torpedo club from Tolyatti .
