Geography
The commune is located approximately 280 km southeast of Paris , 50 km northwest of Besançon , 55 km west of Vesoul [1] .
The small river Poiana ( fr. Poyans ) flows through the territory of the commune, and its tributary is the river Verrier ( fr. Verrières ).
