Biography
From the family of the Senyavsky coat of arms Leliva . The son of Jerome (Yarosh) Senyavsky , Russian governor (1576-1582), Kamenetsky's chestnut and Jadwiga Tarlo. Grandson of the hetman of the great Crown Nikolai Senyavsky and Jan Tarlo , governor of Lublin (by mother)
With the rank of captain of the winged hussars, under the command of the hetman Jan Zamoysky, he fought in Livonia , Estonia , and also participated in his campaign in Moldova (in 1600 ), which led to the consolidation of the influence of the Commonwealth in this country.
In the same year he was elected ambassador (deputy) to the Sejm.
Near the city of Berezhany , which was laid by his grandfather Nikolai Senyavsky, from the captured Tatars and Turks he founded a settlement, to which he gave his name - Adamovka .
From 1606 he was brought close to the court of Sigismund III . Appointed by the great crown . During the rokosh Zebrzydowski remained loyal to the king. Counting on taking the post of hetman , he took part in the organization of opponents of the rebellious gentry. He was a marshal of the congress of opponents of Nikolai Zebrzydowski , the initiator of the Rokosh.
Due to the refusal to get the post of hetman, he became a supporter of the anti-royal opposition.
He participated in the suppression of Cossack-peasant uprisings, fought against the Turkish-Tatar detachments in Ukraine.
Family
He was married to Katarzyna Kostka (1576–1648). As a dowry, Medzhibozh , Satanov , and also Zinkov with the surrounding villages were given (the so-called Zinkovets key).
He had three sons in marriage:
- Nicholas (circa 1598-17 April 1636) - the headman of Ratnensky , died childless
- Alexandra (1599-1621)
- Prokop (1602-1626) - was married to Anna Efrosinya from Khodkevich , had a single son - Adam Jerome Senyavsky (younger) .
Katarzyna Senyavskaya survived her husband and sons. All four were buried in a church in Berezhany. At her expense, all of them were erected monuments. In 1920, the sarcophagi of Adam Jerome Senyavsky and his three sons Nicholas, Procopius and Alexander were taken to Wawel Castle, where they are still located.
