Geography
The village is located on the northeastern shore of Lake Nyukhalovo , 48 km north of the village of Vargashi
Historical background
The peasant Boris Lukin Sutyagin founded in 1770 the village of Nyukhalovo. In 1782, the population of the village of Nyukhalovo amounted to 88 people. male showers and 86 people female shower. The village was part of the Marai volost of the Kurgan district of the Tobolsk province . Spiritually, the village entered the parish of the church in the name of the Epiphany of the Lord, located in the village of Marayskoye . According to the 1926 census, 646 people lived in the village of Nyukhalova, Maraisky Village Council, Maraisky District, Kurgan District, Ural Region , including 646 Russians. (295 men and 351 women). By the decision of the Kurgan Oblast Executive Committee No. 185 of April 26, 1956, Nyukhalov was transferred from the Maraisk Village Council to the Ural Village Council.
In 1964, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of Nyukhalova was renamed Zaozernaya [2] .
