Chlaenius apicalis

Chlaenius apicalis (lat.) - a type of ground beetles of the genus Slizneeda ( Chlaenius ) from the Harpalinae subfamily ( Chlaeniitae tribe, Chlaeniini tribe, Chlaeniina subtribe). Included in the subgenus Chlaeniostenus Kuntzen, 1919 . Discovered in South Asia: India and Nepal [1] . It is the primary homonym of the taxon Chlaenius apicalis LeConte, 1851 , which is now synonymous with the American species Chlaenius ruficauda Chaudoir , 1856 [2] .
