Barbareño is one of the dead Chumash languages that was previously spoken in the USA. It has two varieties: barbareño and ineseno , which were common in the city of Santa Barbara in southern California in the United States. Barbareño is closely associated with Ineseño, which may have been a dialect of that language. Barbareño disappeared in 1965 in connection with the death of (1897-1965).
