Amblyomma imitator

Amblyomma imitator (lat.) - a species of ticks of the genus Amblyomma from the family Ixodidae . North America : USA , Mexico , Guatemala , Honduras . Adult developmental stages are mainly parasitic in livestock. Among the owners, deer, bakers , people , turkeys and others are also noted. Nymphs were collected on goats and humans [1] [2] [3] . Rickettsia carriers Rickettsia rickettsii [4] . The species was first described in 1958 by the American acarologist Glen Köls ( Kohls Glen M. , 1958) [5] .
