Biography
Born in a family of rural teachers. He graduated from the Zhilichi secondary school, Belarusian State University with a degree in jurisprudence (1989). From 1990 to 1996 worked as a legal adviser to a number of organizations, including the Cameron plant ( Pinsk ). Since 1996, in the Belarusian Helsinki Committee : participated in the creation of the Pinsk branch, since 1997 a lawyer, then executive director, since 2007 deputy chairman, since 2008 chairman.
As a public defender, he participated in dozens of court cases, public actions to protect the rights of people who were victims of human rights violations in Belarus .
