From the age of 15 she sang in the church choir. She studied vocals in Odessa with M. Leviton-Vasilenko and Yu. Vishnevetskaya.
She possessed the voice of a beautiful soft tone and a large range.
She performed at the Odessa Opera; in 1904-1913 she performed a number of leading parties (Tamara - “Demon” by A. Rubinstein , Lisa - “Queen of Spades” by P. Tchaikovsky , Nedda - “Pagliacci” by R. Leoncavallo ).
In the years 1913-1922 - the soloist of the Moscow opera S. Zimin .
Since 1926, at the invitation of E. F. Gnesina , she began teaching at the Musical College named after Gnesins ; Since 1944 - Associate Professor. Among her students: N. A. Verbova, S. A. Davidenko, A. Kh. Dumanyan, V. N. Ivanova , A. T. Moskalenko , G. P. Sakharova, N. N. Silvestrova .
She was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (02/14/1945).
