Novovasilyevskoe is a village in the Mozhaysk district of the Moscow region , as part of a rural settlement Zamoshinskoe [2] . According to the 2010 All-Russian Census, the permanent population is 55 [3] . Until 2006, Novovasilyevskoye was part of the Zamoshinsky rural district [4] [5] .

The village is located in the west of the district, about 9 km south-east of Uvarovka , at the head of the Elenka River (right tributary of the Koloch River) [6] , at the 46K-1130 Uvarovka-Mozhaisk highway [7] , height above sea level 244 m [ 8] . The nearest settlements are Khrabrovo in the west and Zakharovka in the south.
