Laktashi (community)

The community borders with Chelintsy in the south, in the east - with Prnyavor, Srbtsom in the northeast, Gradiška and Banja Luka in the northwest and south.

In the community of Laktaši there is Lievce Polje (Liejevche poљe) - fertile plains, which are the main breadbasket of the Republika Srpska .

According to the 2013 census, the population of the Laktashi community was 36,848 people ^[1] , and according to the 1991 census, 29,832 people ^[2] .

Ethnic composition of the Laktashi community according to the 1991 census:

• Serbs - 24.176 (81.04%);
• Croats - 2.565 (8.59%);
• Muslims - 408 (1.36%);
• Yugoslavs - 1.530 (5.12%).
• the rest, undefined and unidentified - 1.153 (3.86%).

Total: 29.832 people.

The community consists of 37 settlements, including the city of Laktashi ^{[1] [2] [3]} .
