Tinigua ( Tinigua, Tiniguas ) is an almost extinct Tiniguan language spoken by the Tinigua people who live in the municipality of the Meta department (formerly in the municipality of Llanos de Jari of the Caketa department) in Colombia. In 2000, there were only 2 speakers, the brothers Criterio Muñoz ( Spanish Criterio Muñoz ) and Sixto Muñoz ( Spanish Sixto Muñoz ). In 2013, the last native speaker of this language, Sisto Munoz, aged about 80 years old, survived [2] .
