History
In the 30s of the 20th century, the Yar - Verkhnekamskaya railway was built for the transport service of the northern phosphorite deposits , as well as the logging and metallurgical plants of Upper Vyatka, which stretched from the Yar settlement on the Trans-Siberian Railway to the Miner settlement - the center of phosphate ore mining.
In 1937 Mine became the first camp center of the Vyatka ITL (" Vyatlag "). In the same year, the large-scale work on the construction of camp sites began. The Hayno-Kai railway, which began to be laid to the north of Verkhnekamskaya station, should have become their connecting thread. By 1938, the first small section of the road was built, the final point of which was Lesnaya station. In April 1939, construction of a new camp center began at this station, which received the name Sotsgorodok. On 6 December of the same year, the administration of the Vyatka ITL was officially transferred here from the village of Mudnichny. In June 1944, the new administrative center of Vyatlag changed its name - Sotsgorodok was renamed the village of Lesnoy.
In October 1939, regular passenger traffic was opened from Verkhnekamskaya station to Lesnaya station. The trains initially consisted of a low-power steam locomotive and two old carriages, which were transferred here from NKPS . In the train tickets were sold [2] .
The station was accepted into permanent operation in 1940 . The construction of the railway almost immediately continued further north from Lesnaya station. Nevertheless, on many maps and in the atlases Lesnaya is depicted as the terminus of the railway line from Yar.
In the second half of the 20th century, passenger trains of the Ministry of Railways of the USSR (from Yar and Kirov stations) plied the Lesnaya station [3] . At the station, along with their own locomotives, the diesel locomotives of the Slag Gorky Railroad depot worked.
At the beginning of the XXI century, passenger train routes were reduced to Verkhnekamskaya station. Despite this, for several more years there was a passenger service on the route Lesnaya - Verkhnekamskaya. Since 2010, there is no regular passenger traffic at Lesnaya station [2] .
Description
Lesnaya railway station - in the past the main station of the departmental Hayno-Kai railway. In the village there is a locomotive depot and other enterprises of railway transport. As of March 2013, the station is not functioning due to a decrease in demand for forest resources, which were the main products transported through this station.
The station has 7 main routes. Used locomotives TEM2 . For boarding and disembarking passengers, there is a side platform located along the west side of the station. Next to the landing platform is the station building, equipped with a waiting room.
