Clinical Microsystem (CM) is a small group of people who work together on a regular basis and provide medical care for a specific subset of patients. This group has administrative tasks (commercial goals), a set of related processes, a common information space ( HL7 ) and gives a certain output of products, services, data.
During its existence, CM evolves (develops, degrades) and is often integrated into a large organization. CM is a complex adaptive system , and as such it should have a main field of activity related to its goals, meet the needs of its employees, and maintain its existence of a clinical unit (unit).
CMs are small, functional units that directly interact with the outside world, providing most of the medical care for most people. KM is the main building block of a large organization and healthcare system. KM is the place where the patient and the physician meet (and the healthcare system behind it).
Four main provisions on the health system:
- Large systems (macrosystems) are composed of small systems.
- Small systems (microsystems) ensure the quality, safety and performance of a large system.
- A large system interacts with the outside world through small systems.
- The productivity and quality of work of a large system cannot be higher than the quality and performance of small systems of which they consist.
