“Heredia Jaguares de Peten” ( Spanish: Heredia Jaguares de Peten ), also “Deportivo Heredia” ( Spanish: Club Deportivo Heredia ) is a professional football club from the city of San Jose , department of Peten , Guatemala . Performs in the Nacional League, the country's major league. The club was founded in 1958. The club plays its home games at Del Monte Stadium. The stadium, however, does not meet CONCACAF standards, so the CONCACAF Champions League matches are played at the Cementos Progreso in Guatemala .

History
Heredia Haguares Football Club was founded in 1958. Since the summer of 2008, the team has been playing their matches in San Jose . The team moved from Morales due to low attendance at the matches, and also changed its name to Heredia Haguarez de Peten after being able to avoid being eliminated in the lower division in the playoff matches against Universidad San Carlos due to a technical defeat due to the participation in the first match of two disqualified players. In September 2011, Heredia Haguarez announced his return back to Morales, stating that "Morales is the homeland of the club."
